English Blue Yarrow Oil ( Achillea millefolium)

We are now able to offer this traditional Yarrow oil which is of a very dark blue colouration due to its high chamazulene levels. We first grew this in 2001 after sourcing a different variety of Yarrow and this type has all the aroma of the yarrow herb with the bonus of the very high levels of chamazulene. Grown and distilled by grower members of Norfolk Essential Oils

In aromatherapy it has been used for nervous tension, insomnia and migraine
Traditionally it was used where there have been nervous problems,also with rheumatism and as a pain reliever. The plant will grow here in the UK and we have at times tried to grow and distil this oil. Due to the requirement for high labour input it is currently imported from China

Pure essential oil steam/water distilled from the freshly collected flowers in Comores.
The odour is typically sweet and floral in this nice example.
