Grown on two farms within the co-operative we are able to offer our own source of pure English lavender. plants give us this pure sample of probably the most popular of all the essential oils. We always choose our lavender distillation days to give us the best sample and yield possible. Our English lavender is one of the most popular with our customers. Abbey Fields is from a small plantation and is only available to the website. The NEO type is from our larger growers and a typical angustifolia. Abbey Fields is from a farm located in Cambridgeshire near the Old Abbey at Thorney (Abbey Fields).

Lemon Essential Oil ( steam distilled)

Latin name:-citrus limon

Most lemon oil is expressed from the peels but with this oil we have steam distilled in our own distillery from fresh lemons. The oil is a light yellow colouration and has a very strong typical lemon odour.
The oil can be phototoxic so do not use on skin exposed to direct sun light.

Introduced in 2001 and following the success of the 2002 harvest the area of this herb has been expanded continually and the co-op now grows in excess of 20 acres
This oil has a powerful lemon aroma as expected and is popular in the aromatherapy bottles available it is also available in larger bulk wholesale volumes. The oil is a beautiful yellow colour and is of excellent quality.

Myrrh Essential Oil (English Distilled)

Steam distilled in England in our own purpose built still this sample of comimphora myrrha was imported from the African continent as a gum/resin and was distilled into this beutifully coloured essential oil. In the ancient world this oil was widely used and was classed as highly valued for use in medicines,anointing, incense, embalming and perfumes. Opoponax Essential Oil (English Distilled)

Latin Name:- Commiphora erythraea

Another of our English distilled oils produced by us steam distilling the imported gum/resin. This gum is produced in Somalia and is collected by the native workers making incisions to the tropical tree which bleeds to form reddish brown 'tears' of the crude gum. This is then sold for currency and shipped to the UK for distilling. It has similar uses to Myrrh and is an important component in quality perfumes and fragrances. The oils is supplied in both retail and wholesale quantities, it has an orange brown colouration and a plesant aroma.

Orange Essential Oil

An orange oil produced by the steam distillation of fresh orange peels.
the peels are delivered as a left over product from a peeling factory. The peels are steam distilled and this oil is then collected. It is almost colourless with a slight orange tint, being a clear liquid. Aroma is of orange. This oil can be phototoxic so use on the skin should be avoided if there is a danger of exposure to bright sunlight.

The peppermint acreage has steadily increased since we first grew some Mitcham Mint in trials during 1999. We have since propagated from this original stock and produce a very high quality mint oil from this crop. It has proved to be very popular since we first introduced it and yet again this season the crop growing area is increasing. The GC profile is showing good percentages of menthol and menthone giving this oil its powerful aroma.
